Applied Data Trends was founded in 1994 in Huntsville, Alabama, at Redstone Arsenal. Starting at a time of shrinking defense budgets, ADT focused on responding to the Department of Defense transformation and the need for system of systems operational interoperability solutions, setting us on a course for success.
ADT's niche specialist strategy has led to significant early growth, highlighted by inclusion in the Inc. 500 list in 2001, the 2005 selection of ADT as the Small Business of the Year in Technology by the Huntsville/Madison Country Chamber of Commerce, and, one year later, selection of ADT founder Derrick Copeland as the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year.

PM-integrated fire control requires General Purpose Rights (GPR) and has directly selected Tactical Office® as the core for its common data link interface module and integrated defense designer for common BMC4I.
FCS requires GPR and selected Tactical Office® technology for the FCS planning and preparation services.
Our Tactical Office® technology is platform independent, and we have delivered applications running under Sun Solaris on CHS rugged tactical workstations, Silicon Graphics, PC Windows, and Linux on PCs - Red Hat® Linux is the native development environment.
ADT continues growing software development relationships with Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) Software Engineering Directorate, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, SAIC, Raytheon, General Dynamics and CAS.
