Let ADT manage your transition from BPOS to Office 365.

You may have recently received a notification from Microsoft about your transition from BPOS to Office 365 in the coming weeks or months. We know that many customers are not prepared for the transition or may have questions about their role in the move.

If this sounds like you, then consider letting ADT make the BPOS to Office 365 migration a smooth one for you and your company. Because our certified technicians have extensive knowledge of the Microsoft product line, ADT can see you through the transition with little or no downtime and provide plenty of follow-up support.

BPOS Migration Services and Consulting from ADT

ADT has migrated many clients to Microsoft’s Online Services. As a Microsoft certified partner, we focus on small- to medium-sized businesses. Whether you need us to "do it all" or just serve as advisors, we’re here to help.

Our Migration and Support Services include:

Migration Planning and Execution - From mailbox size to the speed of your telecom services to upgrading desktops, there are many issues to be considered in an Exchange Online migration. We’ve been through them all and can help you plan the migration. We typically work with our clients to determine what, if any, tasks they prefer to perform themselves and then develop a detailed migration plan.

IT Staff Coaching - We work with some of our clients to coach them to take on pieces of managing their online experience. This often involves planning and training on advanced features.

Online Services Administration - Whether this is part of a Managed Services program or "a la carte," we can use our expertise on your behalf to manage your online account.

Help Desk for End Users (short term or long term) - We can help end users properly configure their accounts and deal with mobile devices, password resets and many other tasks.

SharePoint Consulting - We can build your site from the ground up or help in adding features and functions to your existing site.

What are the differences between BPOS and Office 365?

Office 365 includes the services you’re familiar with, along with new online services. Your subscriptions will be transitioned to Office 365. See the following table for a comparison of Business Productivity Online Standard Suite and Office 365.

*If you use Microsoft Office Live Meeting in BPOS, you can continue to use Office Live Meeting after transition. Additional key points:
  • Lync Online: Lync Online and Lync replace Office Live Meeting and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2. You can continue to use Office Live Meeting, but Office Communicator 2007 R2 is not supported in Office 365. With Lync, you can exchange instant messages (IMs), initiate audio and video conferencing, and see presence information for your colleagues.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Online Deskless Worker: SharePoint Online Deskless Worker is not available in Office 365.
  • Windows Azure platform and Windows Intune: These services are not part of BPOS, so you will continue to manage them in the same manner as you always have after your transition to Office 365. You will not manage these services in the Office 365 portal.

Transition to Office 365

When you transition, Microsoft will move your data to Office 365. You and your users also have tasks to complete for transition. As the administrator, you need to do the following to ensure the best transition experience: ADT will be with you throughout this process.
  • Complete key administrator tasks: Make sure that your client software is compliant with the Office 365 system requirements and configure any new features and capabilities in Office 365.
  • Assist your users: Your users also have key tasks, and it is important to ensure that they complete all of them before and after transition. Your users may also need assistance with learning about Office 365 services and features.

We're here to help.
